O.k. so I have slacked off a little bit the last couple of days! But now I’m just going to have to throw a lot at you.
Now where to begin. Thursday night we played in Des Moines, Iowa, it was a slow night but we still had a lot of fun, Des Moines is a very pretty city. After the show in Des Moines we drove straight to Omaha, Ne and crashed at our friend Tina’s house. The next morning we woke up to some great Nebraska weather, got some breakfast and hit the road headed to Colorado. Now let me just let you know that the drive threw western Nebraska and Eastern Colorado is not very exciting at all, but once you hit those rockies it is just beautiful.
We made are way to Colorado Springs and had a little bit of overheating problems, but nothing I can’t take care of. The show in Colorado springs was good, we played with Cheap Girls who are some really cool guys. After the show everyone was pretty wasted, but me DD, the altitude makes a big difference to us southern boys that are use to drinking at 2 feet above sea level not a mile!
After the show I drove back to Denver where we were crashing. We are playing tonight in Denver, so we have the day to hangout and see some sites. Denver is great! Now its time to wash some laundry and myself. Its been a few days!
Yesterday before leaving St.. Louis we had a great time. We took a great tour of the anheiser-busch factory, they give you free beer at the end. Afterwards we went to the Mississippi river and played some tunes and I got my feet wet. The arch is also amazing, it is so massive when you get right next to it. The Firehouse and Normal, Illinois was a lot of fun, they took really good care of us, thanks Normal! We also met some cool Guys from Michigan called Cheap Girls, good guys. Playing with them in Colorado as well. Till tomorrow.
1 week into tour. We played in St. Louis last night. It was a really cool place called off broadway. The people were great!
I passed out in the van almost right after we got of of stage. The guys met a guy named Steve, who took us to breakfast @ this cool little St. Louis dinner and at 4 in the morning and put us up @ his house! Nice guy!
So today we head out to bloomington,Illinois not to far only 3 or 4 hours. So we are going to spend sometime down by the Mississippi river and the St. Louis arch before we take off. Hopefully we will make it up to Mark Twains house on the way. Till tomorrow.
I gotta tell ya, Memphis has some really nice people! We played last night at The Hi Tone with Drag the River and Cory Branan, great people if you have not heard their music check them out good stuff! It was a great show! We showed up to the bar early and played bar trivia and won $25. It was pretty awesome , that fed us! We are headed out to St.Louis today. I think I will be driving most of the way. We are going to try to get some great shots of us playing next to the Mississippi. Thanks, Ian
